INDIA All India Radio Bhopal 4810, invites reception reports. I received
a full data verification letter signed by the Station Engineer Mr. Sudir
Sodhia in 19 days for an e-mail report to the station. Reception reports
are welcomed by the station Engineer, especially for the new frequency
4810 kHz and all correct reports will be directly acknowledged via a full
data verification letter. The station currently uses 50 KW outpuf for all
broadcasts. Postal mail reports shall be mailed to: Mr.Sudhir Sodhia,
Station Engineer, All India Radio Bhopal, Shamala Hills, Bhopal-462002,
Madhya Pradesh, INDIA.

till after 0205 UT.
4950 Kashmir Radio Kashmir at 0152 UT. A few times ID's in Kashmiri then
male annoucer talking, sio 444. A rare catch for me.

Radio Kashmir actually broadcasts on 4950 kHz. It is also a part of All
India Radio Network and calls RADIO KASHMIR SRINAGAR and not AIR Srinagar,
just because of a treaty between the King of Kashmir and Indian Union
during the joining of the state in India. They decided to stand alone and
after an invasion by Pakistan tribes and army they decided to join in
India. The operation by Indian forces liberated 2/3 part of Kashmir and
they decided to join Indian union.
(The area occupied by Pakistan is known as Azad Kashmir and from there
Azad Kashmir radio operates on 5102 kHz!). They retained many rights
including partial autonomity and hence got the right to retain Radio
Kashmir instead of All India Radio. There are three SW stations in Indian
part of Kashmir-Srinagar 4950, Jammu 4830, and Leh 4760. All India Radio
NewDelhi relays are carried by Radio Kashmir also.

INDONESIA 9680 RRI Jakarta, on Dec 6 (Wed.) at 1006-1031 UT, Kang Guru
Radio English program #5302, same as heard Nov 1 (Wed.) and Nov 5 (Sun.);
no sign of the usually heard WYFR. At end of KGRE program (1022), went to
open carrier (strong audio hum) till 1028, into Bahasa Indonesia
programming. Fair.
