France reactivated 702 kHz, surely via Col de la Madonne, and is putting a vR. strong here evenings, meaning ALG 702 and AOE 700 are both getting problems, and it was almost surely this that made them leave 700 for it went silent on 08 Sept and was replaced by: 1550 Polisario Front, Tindouf (?), reactived on 09 Sep, as obs'ed 2155-..., Arabic, talks; 55544; // 7460 vy.strg., but under RFAsia (via MNG) QRM during a certain evening period. Contrary to what I've read vy. recently in some DX press, the Castilian prgr actually opens the evening period, at 1700, and lasts till 1800. The ann'ed. fqs are 1550 and 7470 (instead of 7460). At this vy. moment, 1704, on 12 Sep, 1550 is barelyh detected, but not 7460, where LSB mode has be engaged so as to diminish adj. DRM QRM. (wb, Sept 19) 7425 RASD, Rabouni, Algeria, 0705-0713 and 1855-2105, Sep 18, new freq probably to avoid QRM on ex 7460, nx and comments in Arabic, mx, ID's and martial songs, 44444, slight splash from Ukraine on 7420 in the morning. Green-UK, Anker Petersen-DEN, dswci DXW Sept 20) This stuff is partly wrong: "National Radio of the Saharan Arab Democratic Republic is back on SW freq 7460.0 [now 7425 see above] as follows: 0600-0800 in Arabic 1700-2200 in Arabic, co-ch Radio Free Asia in Korean 2030-2200 2200-2300 in Spanish, co-ch Radio Free Asia in Korean 2200-2230 (R BULGARIA DX MIX News, Ivo Ivanov, via wwdxc BC-DX Sept 5)" in so far as: a) the current sched. actually reads: 0600-0800 (0900 on Fri., but it may be other days too, so it varies a bit, e.g. on 07 Sep, 0729-f/out 0845 on 700 kHz // 7460 [now 7425 see above] very strong) b) 1700-1800 Castilian, 1800-0000 Arabic c) it may be co-channel RFAsia in Korean 1700-..., but the only disturbance noted here *1700 till about 1800 is moderate~fair adjacent DRM QRM, so I usually use LSB. Then, much later, RFAsia via Mongolia is indeed noted, if not dominating on some instances, but that's typically closer to 2200 (on 09 Sep 2155-..., 7460[now 7425 see above] underneath RFAsia).
1550 kHz is sometimes the only active outlet, e.g. today when observed /0600-0800*, very strong; 7460 kHz was off on 17 or 18 Sep, and off too this morning, 19 Sep. Frequency annt. As I put it on 12 Sep, at 1700 in Castilian they announced 1550 kHz & "74.70" MHz (they mean 7460 kHz) while at 1800 in Arabic they mention 2 wavelengths but 3 freqs so my guess is that the last one is on the VHF-FM band.
