Nederland checks in. The Voice of Vietnam continues with mx and Vietnamese<br />

comments from a woman. Signal was fair when RN and AIR not on the air.<br />

4739.7 R Son La coming in very nice this morning (Jan 23) w/ programs in<br />

minorities lang and distinctive indigenous mx (a capella singing by men<br />

and women) from 1208 tune to 1300 tune out. Used LSB for better<br />

readability and signals hung in there at Fair lvl for most of the period.<br />

Signal peaked at S3 from 1215 to about 1250 and only dropped slightly<br />

after 1250. SINPO 35543. Inst flute (or sim inst) mx 1208-1210, man at<br />

1210.5, woman at 1213, into indigenous mx to 1231 w/ only one short anmt<br />

by woman 1223.5. At 1231 there was program mx and a man ann and then into<br />

what sounded like a nx bcst by man and woman alternating (possibly a Hanoi<br />

relay?). At 1242.5 into more indigenous mx w/ a man ann 1247-1249 and a<br />

man and woman talking 1253-1257.<br />

The new 2006 (20th) edition of B<strong>DX</strong>C's Radio Stations in the UK arrived<br />

back from the printers yesterday and copies have now been despatched to<br />

everyone who had ordered them from Caversham in advance.<br />

Its been two years since the last edition was published, so there are lots<br />

of changes. This new updated edition can now be ordered for immediate<br />

despatch.<br />

Radio Stations in the UK is a comprehensive guide to BBC, commercial,<br />

community and low power AM/FM sces on MW and FM, with lists in freq order<br />

and by station name. It includes tx power and site details, plus contact<br />

information. Frequencies are cross referenced to help you find parallels.<br />

It comes with a separate supplement Radio Stations in the Republic of<br />

Ireland.<br />
