took over the mic. Fair QSA but choppy.

v11860 RRI Jakarta in BI with fair to S9 signal today - noted around
15105 UT, not on 9525 or 15150 [latter which is VoINS at night 1700-2100
UT]. Close-down irregularly around 1705 ... 1710 UT. RRI signal seems some
few Hertz ASIDE. But co-channel TRT in Kazakh from Emirler often also not
even QRG.

IRAN/IRAQ [KURDISTAN] BBC Monitoring heard Voice of Free Kurdistan at
1645 on 4675 March 25th with music and talks going off air abruptly at
2002. This is a new station after several weeks of music only on the
frequency.

ITALY RAI started to broadcast in DRM, via Milano Siziano tx, on 693
kHz. Power is supposed to be 100 kW. [in AM mode, but rather 40 kW in DRM
mode?, -- 7 dB, wb.]
Last night at 2230 UT 7 April 2006 it broadcast RAI Radiodue, in // with
FM Radiodue. The same this late morning 8 April 2006

This will probably mean good bye to another TA freq (690). DRM is the most
serious threat today to the fantastic hobby of DX'ing. If you love DX'ing
- fight against DRM!

Reports are reaching me that a station in Milan, Italy, has started DRM
broadcasting on 693 kHz, 100 kilowatts. I will check tonight after sunset
to see if there is any influence upon Radio 5 Live on the same frequency.
