yes, just as I type this you can hear 'Don't forget' in a song otherwise
in Bahasa INSn. Pretty close to a 5- 5-5 signal. Sounds like a live
recording from an auditorium since there's a hollowness to the broadcast.
Also a male announcer, but the female does most of the talking. Ternate
mentioned a number of times at 1359. Still booming in. No nx or ID at
1400, only a continuation of the same broadcast.
Also in BI - Bahasa INSn. In unserem Winter meist bis 1715 UT, aber
seeeehr variabler Sendeschluss. Uebrigens: wer ins Mittelmeer faehrt, in
Suedeuropa und auf den Inseln ist die 11860 oft 1-2 S-Stufen lauter und
kraeftiger als in Zentraleuropa.
2960, 1318-, RPDT Manggarai Jul 20 A real treat and a regular on the
dxpedition circuit with female announcer taking calls in Bahasa INSn.
Giggling. S5 signal a good hour after local sunrise. Some ham type
interference. Not heard the following 3 mornings.
3345.02, 1333-, RRI Ternate Jul 20 Solid S5 to S6 reception with standard
Indo programming with a lone female announcer and into Indo mx.
4604.96, 1343-, RRI Serui Jul 20 Nice signal with a male DJ taking calls
from listeners. Mentioned 'Timor'. Answers his calls with 'Allo', and
'yes' (I think).
3345.04, 1337-, RRI Ternate Jul 22 Powerful reception with very poweful
modulation, and a female announcer repeatedly saying 'Don't Forget', which
I think is the title of the song which they then aired (a local
artist)....yes, just as I type this you can hear 'Don't forget' in a song
IRAN/IRAQ Google Earth Imagery. The large SW site NW of Tehran at
Kamalabad is located at 35d 49' 45"N, 50d 52' 05"E. It includes four
rotatable antennas and many curtain arrays (high resolution). The small
site at Zahedan is located at 29d 28' 25"N, 60d 51' 52"E (high
resolution).
The large site at Sirjan is located at 29d 35' 47"N, 55d 47' 09"E (it is
mostly visible at low resolution and hence details must await a Google
update.
I suspect the Mashhad site is located at 59d 48' 00"E, 36d 11' 20"N,
but imagery resolution is poor, so this is tentative.
