the sce has recommenced broadcasting. The Alice Springs (Roe Creek) sce is
now being upgraded and is currently off and the Katherine sce will also be
turned off for an extended period from Tuesday 30 May.
From this date those listeners who usually tune to the Alice Springs and
Katherine SW sces will need to retune to the Tennant Creek sce to continue
to receive ABC Local Radio. The ABC has also provided an additional sce,
which will broadcast into the Northern Territory from Shepparton, Victoria
on 11880 during the day and 6080 in the evening. Those listeners who have
problems tuning to the Tennant Creek sce, particularly if you live in the
Katherine region, should attempt to tune to these additional freqs.

AUSTRIA/GERMANY Wir erinnern an unsere Praesenz bei der HamRadio
Friedrichshafen:
- Unser Stand A1/220 ist in Halle 1 zu finden.
Am Samstag, dem 24. Juni, um 12:00 (High Noon) findet im Saal Schweiz
unser Hoerer- und Freundestreffen statt. Wir zeigen u.a. Rarissima und
Kuriosa aus der QSL-Sammlung. Fuer DXer besonders interessant sein sollte
aber das Referat von Ernst Vranka. Er kommt direkt aus Genf/ITU und ist
nur fuer ein paar Stunden in FH. Ernst betreut fuer die ORS das
Frequenzmanagement und ist "der" Mann fuer DRM beim ORF. Wer sich also
fuers Authentische interessiert und fuer die aktellen digitalen Plaene des
ORF (auch TV!), sollte den Termin wahrnehmen.
(spaeter) Das Freundes- und Hoerertreffen am Samstag, 24. Juni, 1200 UT
findet !nicht! im Raum Schweiz statt. Wir wurden diesmal in
Halle A2/Saal 3 verbannt:
dorthin, wo man die Nachbarn mithoert und nicht abdunkeln kann, was
unserer Powerpoint-Schau sicher "gut tun" wird - aber vielleicht haben die
Veranstalter aus den Problemen vom Vorjahr gelernt.

AZERBAIJAN 6110v hx Weak audio now at 1400 on the 2nd harmonic of
12221.61 kHz.

12221.7 Voice of Azerbaijan on second harmonic of 6110.85 from 1700 tune
to 1755 tune out on 6/1 via DX Tuner Rommele and 090 EWE. Weak, but got a
good recording. The primary 6110.85 channel was barely workable w/ het and
co-ch QRM. Tnx to Mauno Ritola for this one! Mostly woman ann, sometimes
w/ interspersed short inst mx; vocal/inst Azerbaijani mx w/ female singer
1723.5-1729.5 and 1745-1749 UT. Only hrd a man ann. Threshold lvl w/ SINPO
1-2/5/5/3/2.

History: Azerbeidjan noted on 2nd/3rd hx 12220 / 18330 kHz in 1982y
already.
Betreffend der Meldung Azerbeidjan wurde u.a. auch mit seiner
2.Harmonischen 12220 kHz gemeldet. Ich habe seinerzeit sogar die
3.Harmonische empfangen und diese auch bestaetigt bekommen (18330 kHz).
09.08.1982 !!
Offenbar hat sich an der Situation mehr als 24 Jahre danach kaum etwas
geaendert, hi!
