they are showing 12759,
so apparently not an error. (Berg). Also heard fading in at 1155 (nothing
heard at 0625 and 1030) and reached a fair level at 1340, Sep 10, (SINPO
25333) with NPR news, Hurricane Florence at Bermuda was approaching.
Nothing heard on former 12579 USB. At recheck 1453 this channel had signed
off, but 4319 had not yet faded in here.

The largest drawback of all the receivers shown at the DRM booth is
battery consumption. Battery drain on these receivers is rather high, so
even alkaline batteries will last only perhaps two or three hours when a
DRM station is being received.

Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) today announced a turnkey radio txion sale
to Radio Ethiopia, a segment of the Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency
(ERTA). Harris will deliver high-power AM txs to stations in Harar
(3DX^(TM)-D100, 100 kW) and Mekele (DX^© -D200, 200 kW) this fall through
Technology Systems and Solutions, a Harris dealer representative based in
Ethiopia.
The txs, which are ready for DRM and HD Radio^(TM) conversion, will
deliver a higher quality signal to a large part of the country highly
important for a population that relies on radio for nx and information in
addition to entertainment. The new txion system will dramatically improve
the quality of AM radio txions throughout the country by the end of 2006.
