IBRA Radio (tent), 15450 in presumed listed Somali at 1732 on 8/18 with<br />

brief religious-type vocal at 1740. Very weak, though. Off or lost at<br />

listed 1800 closing.<br />

I heard Voice of Oromiya Independence via Juelich on 15650 from 1500 until<br />

1530 today, Saturday, 19 August, in presumed Oromo. At 1500 Radio Miami<br />

International annt by Jeff White; then instrumental theme mx. Most of the<br />

broadcast was a man speaking, with many mentions of Oromo, Oromoto,<br />

Oromiya, etc. Theme mx again at 1525 began as instrumental but soon added<br />

a male singer who mentioned Oromiya many times. Transmitter off at 1530.<br />

Fair signal throughout the broadcast.<br />

Sister station Biblis, situated 11 kilometers southeastwards, is the<br />

former Radio Free Europe site, started at same time on a former<br />

Reichsluftwaffe airfield[German Airforce in WW II], used 10, 20, and 50 kW<br />

units,<br />

at locator 49 36 03 N 08 29 30 E.<br />

Burg 1575 kHz. Nach 21 Tagen Laufzeit kam heute ein Bestaetigungsbrief und<br />

mehrere Sticker von 104,9 OldieStar Radio, v/s ist Marisa Busch. Ich hatte<br />

an Digital Radio Berlin Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, Pfalzburger Str. 43-44,<br />

10717 Berlin geschrieben. Die Antwort kam aber von 104,9 OldieStar Radio,<br />

Andre-Pican-Str. 42, 16515 Oranienburg.<br />
