CHILE CRI relay, 17625 kHz, full data card, postcard in 44 weeks,
v/s Ying Lian (English Service).
(Vashek Korinek-AFS, DXplorer Mar 11)
CHINA China on 18160 kHz. Just over a week ago there was one morning
with very good reception of China on 16 m. That morning I was able to hear
a Firedrake transmitter on 18160 in addition to the usual CNR-1. The
Firedrake was a separate transmitter, mostly below CNR, but at times
coming up on top. The signals also were far too strong to be "leapfrogs"
or harmonics. The use of the Firedrake transmitter clearly indicates that
something is being intentionally jammed, but what ???
The CNR audio feed is synchronous to one of the strong transmitters on
several jammed frequencies, but not to 17605 kHz or other regular CNR
outlets on 16 mb.
(Olle Alm-SWE, wwdxc BC-DX Mar 14)
(later)
(re 18160 kHz) I also noted that they were off for 5 mins from the top of
the hour. This is for monitoring purposes - you will note this practice
during the first 48 hours of the upcoming new schedule period on all
currently jammed freqs. For several days now I have failed to hear 18160
kHz, so it seems that their monitors are certain that now there is nothing
more to jam. 17310 has also been gone for several weeks now.
The programme on 18160 was // 17550 and other CNR-1 outlets, but I always
heard them with a considerable delay compared to 17550 and other Beijing
outlets.
(Olle Alm-SWE to Mauno Ritola-FIN, Mar 17)
Rundfunkstationen gestoert. Das Ausfindigmachen dieser Eindringlinge ist
Aufgabe der Bandwacht. Nachfolgend ein Auszug von Stoermeldungen aus dem
Monat Maerz.
