Similar RFI Issoudun 17620, 17670, 21620, 21645, and 21685.
RTA signal is nearly 7 seconds behind LW Tipaza 252 kHz.
guess this special outlet served the politicans at
16-24 January 2006 AU SUMMIT Khartoum, Sudan

Or given the initial kick off on this summit ?
ASCENSION ISLS 11665 Radio Prague verified with a full data "Czech
Spas: Frantiskovy Lazne, Western Bohemia" card without site
(disappointing) from an illegible verie signer in 12 days. Included was a
pocket 2006 calendar, letter opener with website identification and
program schedule. In a sign of the times, the letter opener is called "e
mail opener."
ASCENSION ISLS [non] WADR (West Africa Democratic Radio).
Finally I received a personal letter, schedule, QSL letter and a magazine
from Mr. Abdou Lo, as he had promised via e mail. He states in a
handwritten note that they are working on a QSL card and soon it will be
printed. Address: Box 16650, Dakar Fann, Senegal.
E mail:
Current schedule: 0700-0900 on 12000 and 0900-1100 on 17860.
In Dakar they broadcast on 94.9 MHz.
BELGIUM Spotted by Christian Kaltenecker: 540/621 at Wavre and 927/1512
at Wolvertem are now on air around the clock, just in order to make
additional room heating unnecessary:

I remember that similar room-heating txions took place way back in the
nineties in Russia, on SW and using Radio Mayak as audio, shortly after
Mayak had cancelled its SW txions. The involved sites are no longer active
on SW today, perhaps closed (and even dismantled?) entirely by now.
Some pictures of Wavre:

Isn't this 1952 vintage tx for 9970 cute? The second picture shows a
mediumwave tx I think, since I seem to recall another look for a 250 kW
Brown Boveri SW tx (one of the now unused VRT units in the case of Wavre).
I had noted 1512/927 kHz on throughout the night for several days now, but
not always very strong. 1512 may be using lower power at certain times,
and possibly off Friday morning. 621 not heard and 540 not checked.
(Olle Alm-SWE, wwdxc BC-DX Jan 28)
BULGARIA 9385 IRRS possibly relayed via Bulgarian txs, at tune in at
0105 UTC relaying a program called "Keep Reaching Out" with an interview
with a Christian pop/rock mxian. S/off with IRRS Milan, Italy ID and
address for reports. National anthem played. Then at 0134 the program
"Talk Nation Radio" featured a report about Ann Courter (spelling? ). At
0200 the plug was pulled in mid sentence. 353.
