then a ten-minute religious program, followed by ads or anmts w/mentions
of Solomon Islands; a program of local vocal mx followed, w/frequent
mentions of "Happy Islands" and Solomon Islands; 1200 YL with closedown
anmt: "You've been listening to Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation,
Radio Happy Isles..." and anc'd freqs of 1035 and 5020 kHz; said they'd
return "tomorrow morning at 6:00"; at 1201 they joined BBCWS in progress.
Pretty good signal and enjoyable listening to an hour of local
programming.

English with soft instrumental mx in the background. At 0455 another man
gave ID and freq annt as program closed. Poor to fair.

Madison - Milwaukee GTG yesterday (8/19). Great also to see old friends
Bob Brossell and daughter Beth, John Lenz, Tim Noonan, Bill Dvorak, John
Meyer, Mark Taylor, Kevin Mikel, Karl Forth and the two or three others
I've surely forgotten to mention.
A fantastic setting with Lake Michigan practically in the back yard at the
home of NRC member Neil Kazaross. A wonderful day!
