LUXEMBOURG Radio Luxembourg callsigns.
Hi all! The 19th edition (July 1958) of the "Alphabetical List of Call
Signs" publised by the I.T.U. shows four callsigns registered for
broadcasting from Junglinster: LXRA, LXRE, LXRF and LXRG. At these moment
R. Luxy was broadcasting on 4 freqs ... LW, MW, and two on SW. Somebody
knows to what frequency corresponds each one of them?
(Mauricio Molano Sanchez-ESP, hcdx May 29)
I see this Call Signs of Luxembourg for the first time.
In 1957-1959 I heard RTL in German often at afternoon 1400[Sun 1300]-1700
UT, even when on summer holiday or skiing in Tyrolia Austria. Popular
German hit parade could be heard on Sundays.
LW 233 kHz 500 kW seems LXRA
MW 1439 kHz 350 kW LXRE
SW 6090 kHz 50 kW LXRF
SW 15350 kHz 5 kW LXRG, latter service towards Montreal Canada in French
language.
(taken from WRTH 1959, wb, wwdxc BC-DX May 29)
yes, I too. Itïs the very first time I see the R. Luxembourg callsigns.
And Germany contains a pile of DMRxx callsigns used for broadcasting but
this ITU list only shows call, tx site, and kind of station.
MALAYSIA 7295, 1506-, RTM Kuala Lumpur May 20 Traxx FM, but with English
nx ending at 1509 without a Traxx FM ID and into rapp mx. Kuala Lumpur
mentioned at the end of the news. I went to have breakfast and upon my
return at 1552 the signal was much stronger and totally in the clear.
Excellent reception! 34 mins past 11:00 (or was that 54 mins?). Traxx FM
ID at 1600 and TC for midnight, so it was 54 mins. Wonderful programming!
Into news.
