JAPAN DSWCI special programme via NHK R Japan.
On May 27-29, Toshi Ohtake reported about DSWCI 50th Anniversary
Celebration held at Vejers Strand of Denmark in the World Interactive
program of R Japan. It was heard well on SW and the Internet. The DSWCI
will issue the special QSL cards to the correct reports of this program.

LATVIA The closed SW relay sce on 9290 is due to return with a new owner
in autumn. The relay license of Krebs TV (51% owned by Jan Telensky, also
the owner of Radio Tatras International) expired. New license owner is
Raimonds Kreicbergs (who also is minority co-owner of Krebs TV).
Kreicbergs is planning to install his own, small SW tx (probably 10 kW;
DRM-ready) at the Ulbroka site during the summer and to resume the relay
sce for low-budget program producers in autumn. This will substitute the
previously used 100 kW tx. The background: since the Latvian state tx
operator LVRTC (owner of the Ulbroka site) shock-raised the prices for
transmitter lease in the beginning of the year, the rates for 100 kW
airtime are no longer affordable by the typical customers of the relay
service. The old 100 kW tx will remain available for clients who are ready
to pay the higher prices.
