1 - Introduction
Nowadays it’s common to observe that there has been
a considerable interest in teaching theoretical and empirical
techniques at colleges and university’s through out the world.
We can see that video classes have had the pertinent
preoccupation of providing communication – and other media
students – with the proper knowledge tools and practical
frameworks for all the media aspects that are related to
producing contents. Regarding this issue, in classes we can
observe the obvious preoccupation with the passage of
theoretical issues and “hands - on” practical experiences. In
today’s classes we can a see an ever-growing interest in the
usage of these powerful resources to evaluate, on a first
moment, and to promote the colleges and universities images
through broadcast and the web’s infinite possibilities.
In a practical and very useful view today it’s observable
that open-source production and diffusion tools are very
important in these realities. But the initial basis are
fundamented in the pillars that were created through the
ancient laws of storytelling through fixed pictures – on a first
approach – and moving images on a second.
Today, through the immense technological resources
we can see that we’re living in the epicentre of the self-media
era. Today’s media-scape has been coined with the
expressions that define the citizen reporter/producer reality.
