MTP Output Target <strong>2006</strong>: 20 new high yield<strong>in</strong>g fusarium wilt resistant kabuli and desi chickpea breed<strong>in</strong>g l<strong>in</strong>es<br />

made available to NARS<br />

Chickpea: Six l<strong>in</strong>es (ICC 14194, ICC 14206, ICC 14215, ICC 17109, WR 315, and KAK 2) have been found to be<br />

asymptomatic to Fusarium wilt <strong>in</strong> chickpea. Three l<strong>in</strong>es (ICCX-990026-F3-BP-25-BP, ICCX-990026-F3-BP-34-BP,<br />

and ICCX-990026-F3-BP-40-BP) were also superior to KAK 2 <strong>in</strong> seed yield, 100-seed weight, and flower<strong>in</strong>g. Five<br />

l<strong>in</strong>es (ICCV 05525, ICCV 05526, ICCV 05534, ICCV 97207, and ICCV 98501) have been identified to be resistant<br />

to BGM and FW, while ICCV 05523 showed resistance to AB and FW.<br />

Large-seeded Kabuli chickpea germplasm l<strong>in</strong>es ICC 14194 and ICC 14198 have been found to be very early (days<br />

to maturity
