iv. Provides guidance regarding payment of incidental expenses
and interpretive support relating to any NCAA regulations
C. DIRECTOR OF ATHLETIC TRAINING
i. Notifies Director of Athletics, Deputy Athletic Director, Head
Team Physician, Sports Medicine Staff, and Insurance
Specialist
ii. Notifies Head Coach if incident occurs during non-practice
participation, or when coach may not be present (e.g.
conditioning)
iii. Coordinates, along with Head Team Physician, communication
with any physicians involved in the catastrophic incident
medical care
iv. Communicates with Risk Manager and legal counsel
v. Communicates with Senior Associate Athletic Director for
Communications
vi. Coordinates with Insurance Specialist, provides any insurance
information Notifies Counseling Services
vii. Notifies NCAA Catastrophic Injury Service Insurance Carrier
