Having a working knowledge of NCAA rules is required and taking the NCAA
certification exam to assist the department and coaches in rules compliance efforts. This
individual understands that compliance is a central element of employment and is
responsible for adhering to NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations.
REPORTS TO: Head Coach
BASIC FUNCTION: Assistant for Division I sports program, assist coaches in travel
arrangements, reimbursements, and overall management of office.
POLICY MAKING AND/OR INTERPRETATION: N/A
PROGRAM DIRECTION AND DEVELOPMENT: N/A
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Head Coach
LEVEL OF PUBLIC CONTACT: Heavy public contact by telephone and in person.
MONETARY RESPONSIBILITY: Handles some monetary transactions and deposits
related to women’s basketball operations.
STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL DATA: Confidential
correspondence for the coaches and matters concerning the student-athletes.
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF POSITION: Any other duties assigned by the
Director of Athletics.
PREFERRED ABILITIES: Computer skills – knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Banner,
and E-travel
