To UNCW Department of Athletics Personnel: The University and its athletic program is dedicated to providing a fulfilling and rewarding athletic experience for men and women in sports as further enrichment to a quality academic education conducted in accordance with Title IX, NCAA, conference and institutional regulations. The Policies and Procedures Manual provides operating guidelines, procedures and regulations for the Department of Athletics, governed by North Carolina statutes, UNC General Administration policy, NCAA, CAA and University of North Carolina Wilmington policies and procedures. It is the shared responsibility of departmental personnel to adhere to and be compliant with policies and procedures outlined in the Manual. I encourage each of you to be familiar with the contents of this Manual and to fulfill your respective roles as responsible professionals as we continue to enhance our total program.
