b. grants;
c. tuition waivers;
d. employee dependent tuition benefits, unless parent of student-athlete has been
employed as a full-tine faculty/staff member for a minimum of five years;
e. loans;
f. during the initial academic year in residence, on-campus employment in the
athletics department and on-campus employment outside the athletics
department for which the department intercedes on behalf of the studentathlete;
2. aid from government or private sources for which the institution is responsible for
selecting the recipient or determining the amount of aid, or providing matching or
supplementary funds for a previously determined recipient;
3. during the initial academic year in residence, off-campus employment earnings
for which the athletics interest of the institution intercede on behalf of the
recipient;
4. for the student-athlete recruited by the institution, financial aid awarded through
an established and continuing outside program for the recognition of outstanding
high-school graduates in which athletics participation may be a major criterion.
Other Permissible Financial Aid:
1. financial aid received from anyone upon whom the student-athlete is naturally or
legal dependent;
2. financial aid awarded solely on basis having no relationship to athletics ability;
3. financial aid awarded through an established and continuing outside program in
which athletics participation is not the major criterion
4. for a student-athlete not recruited, financial aid awarded through an established
and continuing outside program in which athletics participation may be a major
criterion
