COMPLIANCE COMPLIANCE The compliance section is prepared to assist Athletics Department personnel in adhering to institutional, CAA, and NCAA rules and regulations. It is the responsibility of all staff members to be familiar with all guidelines and appropriate forms to maintain compliance expectations as part of your employment at UNCW. The Director of Athletics, through the Director of Compliance, is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and review of the department’s procedures to comply with NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations. DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS/SENIOR WOMAN ADMINISTRATOR The Deputy Director of Athletics is involved in the planning, direction and conduct of the University’s athletics program within NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations. ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FOR COMPLIANCE The Director of Compliance is responsible for educating, enforcing and monitoring the compliance efforts of all coaches, athletics department personnel and student-athletes pertaining to NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations and serves as a liaison to outside departments involved in the compliance procedures. In implementing all compliance matters, the Director of Compliance works closely with the following individuals to ascertain compliance in their specific areas of responsibility: SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS FOR COMMUNICATIONS The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications is responsible for ensuring the departmental publications and publicity of all athletics programs comply with NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS FOR BUSINESS The Associate Athletic Director for Business is responsible for ensuring the financial procedures of the athletics department and other business-related matters such as team travel, recruiting travel, official visits and student host expenses, reimbursements, etc. comply with NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations. ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS FOR DEVELOPMENT/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE STUDENT AID ASSOCIATION (SEAHAWK CLUB) The Associate Athletic Director for Development/Executive Director is responsible for coordinating fundraising events within NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations, overseeing the Ticket Office, and Marketing and Promotions.
