STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL DATA: As a member
of the Director of Athletics’ staff, any knowledge of confidential data is protected and never
released with specific acknowledgement of release from the party involved. Information
concerning student-athletes academic performance will not advance outside those involved
without prior notification and approval of the student-athlete.
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF POSITION: To keep administration and coaches
informed of academic progress of student-athletes and be committed to program’s academic
integrity. Must have ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines and to
resolve problems and questions. Must be skilled in organizing workflow and coordinating
activities within an athletic department.
PREFERRED ABILITIES: Master’s Degree, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
and experience in an athletic environment.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SEAHAWK SPORTS MARKETING
JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages and implements a comprehensive marketing and
promotions plan including promoting ticket sales and promoting and administering special
events. Works with staff and student assistants on execution of a promotional plan for each
sport. Assists Director of Seahawk Sports Marketing to stimulate season ticket sales, secure
sponsorships and advertising revenue and pre-game, half-time entertainment and promotions
for sporting events. Assists with designs of promotional materials for season ticket
brochures, order forms, schedule cards, posters, table tents and fliers for all sports and
athletic special events. Assists in overseeing the cheerleading squad, dance team, mascot
and pep band. Manages the Seahawk Shop. Other duties as assigned. This individual
understands that compliance is a central element of employment and is responsible for
adhering to NCAA, CAA and institutional rules and regulations.
