4. In the event of a need for planned overtime involving IEQ trained personnel, overtime will<br />

be offered to the PME identified on the Call List as a member of the IEQ team and assigned<br />

to the building in which the work is to be performed. If that PME is not available or declines<br />

the overtime, the IEQ team’s Building Manager or Chief Engineer will be responsible for<br />

identifying, from among the IEQ work unit’s remaining members, the individual(s) most<br />

capable of performing the required work who has the least overtime.<br />

5. During emergency situations, where the safety of our customers is put at risk and/or the<br />

integrity of our facilities is put in immediate danger (flood, fire or other natural disaster)<br />

and/or where Plant <strong>Management</strong> or Capitol Security determine that time is of the essence,<br />

Plant <strong>Management</strong> or Capitol Security acting as its agent will make every effort to follow the<br />

overtime Call List but it reserves the right to offer overtime to the PME(s) with knowledge of<br />

the building(s) and who are able to respond most quickly.<br />

Article 3<br />

Holidays<br />

Article 7, Section 4, Shift Work, of the Master Agreement shall be modified as follows:<br />

The holiday for third shift employees will be the day on which the shift begins rather than where the<br />

majority of hours fall.<br />

Article 7, Section 8, Work on a Holiday, of the Master Agreement, shall be modified as follows:<br />

Plant <strong>Management</strong>: Work on the Fourth of July shall be distributed according to the provisions of<br />

Article 6, Section 4 for General Maintenance Workers and Groundskeepers.<br />

Article 4<br />

Vacation Leave<br />

Article 8, Section 3, Vacation Period, of the Master Agreement shall be modified as follows:<br />

Requests for a vacation period of less than forty (40) consecutive hours, including holidays and<br />

weekends, may be submitted no more than ninety (90) days in advance of the request.<br />

Article 5<br />

Vacancies, Filling of Positions<br />

Article 12, Section 4 (D), of the Master Agreement shall be modified as follows:<br />

All Divisions:<br />

The Appointing Authority may temporarily reassign any employee to another work area, off-site<br />

location, and/or shift, for six (6) consecutive months or less.<br />

Article 12, Section 6, Eligibility for Bidding, of the Master Agreement shall be modified as follows:<br />

Plant <strong>Management</strong>:<br />

Building Services employees represented by the Union shall be eligible to bid on vacant positions<br />

within their work area, but outside their work unit.<br />

Employees in the General Maintenance Worker, Lead (Lead) classification shall be eligible to bid<br />

on posted General Maintenance Worker (GMW) vacancies. A Lead who successfully bids on a<br />

GMW position shall have his/her salary adjusted to the same rate of pay the employee would have<br />

received had he/she been on the GMW pay range for the time as both a GMW and a Lead.<br />
