For Metro, South, and Walker only:<br />

If your supervisor decides that short notice on-call (thirty (30) minute response time) is needed,<br />

(s)he will:<br />

Choose the capable and qualified volunteer with the most State Seniority, and<br />

Provide the volunteer with a phone to use while on call.<br />

Overnight Activities<br />

Article 6 of the Master Agreement is supplemented as follows:<br />

For Metro, South and Walker only:<br />

When you are assigned to supervise activities outside the home that extend beyond your normal<br />

shift, you will be paid:<br />

<br />

the on-call rate for sleep time, not to exceed eight (8) hours;<br />

straight time for your shift of eight (8) or ten (10);<br />

<br />

the overtime rate for the balance of the activity.<br />

This compensation will be repeated every twenty-four (24) hour period for the duration of the<br />

activity.<br />

You may choose either compensatory time or cash for this overnight activity.<br />

For Brainerd, Fergus Falls, Moose Lake, and Willmar only:<br />

If you are assigned to supervise activities that last one or more twenty-four (24) hour period, you<br />

will be paid eight (8) hours straight time, eight (8) hours at your overtime rate, and eight (8) hours<br />

at the on-call rate.<br />

Holidays<br />

Article 7, Section 6 of the Master Agreement is changed as follows:<br />

Work on a Holiday. (For all Employees)<br />

Your supervisor will make every reasonable effort to schedule the most senior part time employee<br />

who works on a holiday the longest shift available on the holiday.<br />

Payment for Work on a Holiday<br />

Article 7, Section 8 (B) 2 of the Master Agreement is changed as follows:<br />

You will be compensated in cash for all hours worked on a holiday. In addition, you can choose<br />

either cash or vacation leave for your holiday. You must be eligible to earn and use vacation in<br />

order to earn your holiday as vacation leave.<br />
