Article 1<br />

Scheduling<br />

Article 5, Section 1 of the Master Agreement shall be supplemented and/or modified as follows:<br />

1. Part-time Employees Short Notice Schedule Changes.<br />

For part-time employees, the Administrator shall adhere to the posting requirements in Article<br />

5, Section 1-C of the Master Agreement.<br />

Except as modified for only the reasons below, the work schedule for part-time employees may<br />

be:<br />

1. Altered up to three (3) hours in advance of the regular posted starting time for such<br />

employees, or<br />

2. If on a day not scheduled employees may be offered additional hours.<br />

To invoke this modified scheduling the Administrator shall notify the affected employees as<br />

soon as the need for such schedule change becomes known. In all cases, any change in<br />

scheduling shall be for additional work hours not previously regularly scheduled and must be<br />

due to unanticipated, unknown or unforeseen reasons and offered to part-time employees prior<br />

to intermittent employees.<br />

Available work hours subject to this change in scheduling shall be distributed to the employee<br />

with the most class seniority who is not scheduled for those hours. Any schedule changes<br />

made which meet this criteria shall not be subject to penalty pay.<br />

2. Existing Schedules.<br />

Other current scheduling patterns/practices shall remain in effect. If due to a change in the<br />

operation of a unit/program, it becomes necessary to permanently change the scheduling<br />

pattern of employees in the interest of efficient operations, to meet the needs of the public or<br />

the Department, to provide more beneficial resident/client services, or to better use facilities or<br />

the working forces, no less than twenty eight (28) calendar days notice shall be given to the<br />

Local Union. At the request of the Local Union, the Administrator shall meet and confer to<br />

develop a reasonable scheduling pattern prior to the fourteen (14) day posting period provided<br />

for in Article 5, Section 1(C), of the Master Agreement.<br />

The Administrator and the Local Union may mutually agree to alter the terms of this Section<br />

"Scheduling".<br />

Article 2<br />

Overtime Distribution<br />

Article 6, Section 4 of the Master Agreement shall be supplemented and/or modified as follows:<br />

The offer and distribution of overtime shall be based on state seniority.<br />

Employees in a Junior/Senior Classification Plan shall be considered equal for any overtime<br />

distribution, providing they are capable and qualified for such work.<br />
