Article 3<br />

On-Call<br />

Upon mutual agreement of the Appointing Authority and the employee, hours earned for on-call by<br />

Crime Scene Processing Team members may be placed in a compensatory bank or paid in cash.<br />

In the event that the Employer and MAPE negotiate changes in on-call pay for serving on a Crime<br />

Scene Processing Team, the Employer agrees to make the same changes in this Supplemental<br />

Agreement.<br />

Bureau of Criminal Apprehension<br />

The Forensic Photographer shall be in on-call status if the employee's supervisor has instructed<br />

the employee, in writing, to remain available to work during an off-duty period. The Forensic<br />

Photographer who is instructed to be on-call is not required to remain at a fixed location, but must<br />

leave word where he/she may be reached by telephone or electronic signaling device.<br />

The Forensic Photographer who is instructed to remain in an on-call status for the purpose of<br />

serving on the Crime Scene Processing Team shall receive fifteen (15) hours of compensation for<br />

being in on-call status for a seven (7) day period. An additional four (4) hours of overtime<br />

compensation shall be granted for each legal holiday that occurs within this period.<br />

The compensation for on-call assignments for the above Crime Scene Processing Team members<br />

shall be paid as either cash or compensatory time off at the option of the Appointing Authority, who<br />

shall consider the desires of the employee.<br />

Meals<br />

Late night meal reimbursement in the amount of ten dollars ($10) may be claimed only if the<br />

employee is on duty serving on a Crime Scene Processing Team and in travel status, and works<br />

four (4) hours between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM.<br />

Article 4<br />

Hours of Work<br />

Employees in a work area may request a meet and confer regarding alternate work schedules,<br />

flextime scheduling, adjustments or changes in days, shifts or hours of work, or the ability to work<br />

four (4) ten (10) hour days. The parties may agree on pilot projects regarding these issues.<br />

Requests are to be made through the Union and the Employer shall meet regarding these issues.<br />

Whenever practicable, working hours of vacant positions may be offered to other employees in the<br />

work area and shall be assigned to the most senior employee (State seniority Units 4, 6; class<br />

seniority Units 3, 7) provided that such reassignment meets the operational and business needs of<br />

the work area. The Employer’s decision to not offer vacant work hours to volunteers shall not be<br />

grievable or arbitrable. The Employer must have legitimate business reasons to not offer vacant<br />

work hours.<br />

Capitol Security<br />

Section 1. Work Schedules. Employees will be scheduled to work no more than eight (8)<br />

consecutive days. Employees will be scheduled with one (1) weekend off out of every three (3)<br />

weekends. Weekends shall consist of two (2) consecutive days off, one being Saturday or<br />

Sunday. Whenever possible, the weekend will include Saturday and Sunday. Any scheduled days<br />

off shall be consecutive.<br />
