There are several reasons that the <strong>Management</strong> can change the normal workday or begin using a<br />

shift not currently used. These reasons are:<br />

<br />

<br />

<br />

efficiency;<br />

more beneficial consumer services;<br />

to make better use of the facilities and/or you and other staff.<br />

<strong>Management</strong> must do the following things before changing the normal workday or shift:<br />

give the Local Union at least twenty eight (28) days notice;<br />

if the Local Union requests it, discuss the changes before they are posted.<br />

Shifts Between Days Off<br />

Your supervisor shall not schedule you to work more than two (2) shifts and/or two (2) shift<br />

changes between scheduled days off.<br />

Work Shift<br />

Article 5, Section 3D of the Master Agreement is changed as follows:<br />

The Local Union and <strong>Management</strong> may meet and confer to develop reasonable scheduling<br />

patterns before the schedules must be posted. If no scheduling patterns are developed through<br />

this process, your supervisor may use any of the following scheduling patterns:<br />

Full Time Employees:<br />

Brainerd Fergus Metro Moose Willmar<br />

Falls South Lake<br />

Walker<br />

a) A 6-2-3 rotation a) X X X X X<br />

b) A 6-2 rotation with four (4) consecutive days<br />

off every sixth week.<br />

c) A 7-5-3 or 3-5-7 rotation with every third<br />

weekend off.<br />

d) No more than seven (7) consecutive work<br />

days with two (2) weekends off out of every<br />

four (4) weekends. Scheduled days off may<br />

not be consecutive.<br />

e) No more than four (4) consecutive ten (10)<br />

hour days with every third weekend off.<br />

Scheduled days off may not be consecutive.<br />

f) Five (5) consecutive workdays with two (2)<br />

consecutive days off. The days off must be<br />

fixed. You must bid for fixed days off and bids<br />

will be awarded by seniority.<br />
