If your supervisor needs someone to work overtime for the next (immediate subsequent) shift,<br />

(s)he will:<br />

1. Decide which class(es) will perform the work.<br />

2. Offer the overtime to on-duty employee(s) in the selected class(es) who are capable, in the<br />

same work area and have put in writing his/her interest in the shift (most senior to least)<br />

until the work is accepted. If no one accepts the overtime,<br />

3. Have the right to assign mandatory overtime work to the on-duty employee(s) with the least<br />

seniority in the same work area who is capable of performing the work. This includes<br />

capable employees on duty when the overtime assignment is made whose shift ends no<br />

more than thirty (30) minutes before the start of the overtime. This assignment will rotate<br />

within each pay period starting with the capable employees with the least seniority.<br />

1. Decide which class(es) will perform the work.<br />

2. Offer the overtime work to employees in the selected class(es) in the work area who are<br />

capable of performing the work and have put in writing his/her interest in the shift ( most<br />

senior to least) until the work is accepted. If no one accepts the overtime,<br />

3. Have the right to assign mandatory overtime work to the capable employee in the work area<br />

with the least seniority who is scheduled for the shift immediately before the overtime. This<br />

includes any shift which ends no more than thirty (30) minutes before the start of the<br />

overtime. This assignment will rotate within each pay period starting with the capable<br />

employees with the least seniority.<br />

If you supervise residents and patients for an assignment that lasts for twenty-four (24) hours, you<br />

will be paid eight (8) hours straight time, eight (8) hours at your overtime rate and eight (8) hours at<br />

the on-call rate.<br />

Holiday on Day Off:<br />

Article 7, Section 5 of the Master Agreement is changed as follows:<br />

Moose Lake only: When your holiday falls on your regularly scheduled day off, the holiday earned<br />

will be credited to your compensatory bank.<br />

Holiday Pay:<br />

Article 7, Section 7 of the Master Agreement is changed as follows:<br />

If you are scheduled to work and are in pay status for any part of the early or afternoon shift the<br />

day before a holiday and any part of the night shift that begins on that holiday, the holiday will be<br />

treated as if it falls on your regularly scheduled day off.<br />
