altar of Hymettian marble, built <strong>in</strong>to a later fabric outside the pre-<br />

c<strong>in</strong>ct of <strong>Zeus</strong> Olympios to the north, had the same <strong>in</strong>scription as the<br />

altars already mentioned : to judge from the shape of the letters, it<br />

was erected <strong>in</strong> the first century B.C.^ It is known also that <strong>Zeus</strong><br />

Kataibdtes had an altar <strong>in</strong> or near the Akademeia, where he bore<br />

the further title of Moi'ios*. F<strong>in</strong>ally, the cult of this deity is pre-<br />
