of Diokaisareia <strong>in</strong> KiHkia, struck by luHa Domna (figs, jy^^ 77Ay<br />

and M. luHus PhiHppus the younger-. Their reverse type shows a<br />

high-backed throne : its foreposts are surmounted by two Hons, and<br />

on its box-hke seat is a w<strong>in</strong>ged thunderbolt erect <strong>in</strong> a giiasi-\\nxm.n<br />

attitude. The lions suggest that <strong>Zeus</strong> had here taken over the throne<br />

of the Anatolian mother-goddess^ or her consorts And the thunder-<br />
