somewhat boorish mediums. No dignity can be recognized to them. This<br />

contempt, <strong>de</strong>eply rooted in french cultural tradition since centuries, is most<br />

often not even conscious. But we think it is the main obstacle for any progress<br />

in integration of those "other" french languages in the mainstream of national<br />

french culture. One may hope that in the long course, a better knowledge of<br />

french diversity and minority languages' s creative capacity will permit to end<br />

with the long-lasting time of contempt. But for now, this happy end is obviously<br />

not at hand... And the fight for dignity and life of breton, occitan, and all the<br />

others is still necessary.<br />
