Protocollo alla Convenzione del 15 maggio 2003 è in vigore dal 1° febbraio

- Convenzione di legge civile sulla corruzione adottata dal Comitato dei Ministri
del Consiglio d’Europa il 9 settembre 1999, in vigore dal 1° novembre 2003;
- Codice di condotta per i pubblici ufficiali adottato dal Comitato dei Ministri del
Consiglio d’Europa l’11 maggio 2000;
- Convenzione relativa all'estradizione tra gli Stati membri dell'Unione europea-
Relazione esplicativa, approvata dal Consiglio il 26 maggio 1997 16 ;
- Mandato di arresto internazionale adottato dal Consiglio dei Ministri
dell’Unione Europea il 6 dicembre 2001 17 .
2. In particolare: la Convenzione delle Nazioni Unite contro la corruzione (UNCAC)
Il 31 ottobre 2003, dopo una lunga e difficoltosa negoziazione 18 , l’Assemblea Generale
delle Nazioni Unite ha approvato la Convenzione ONU contro la corruzione,
successivamente firmata da 134 Paesi a Merida (Messico) nel dicembre 2003. A
distanza di due anni, il 14 dicembre 2005, la Convenzione è entrata in vigore. 19 Si tratta
