mitocôndria, e da proporção do consumo de ATP dada por diferentes processos do metabolismo<br />

celular (baseado em Rolfe & Brow 1997). Do oxigênio consumido pela mitocôndria, 80% é acoplado à<br />

síntese de ATP e 20% é perdido no vazamento de prótons através da membrana mitocondrial interna.<br />

As proporções representam a média do consumo de ATP em diferentes tecidos.<br />
