E-mail newsletters or e-zines weekly or monthly – more often if a lot is happening. Send
update bulletins in the interim when you have something worthwhile to announce but not
enough to prepare a full-blown newsletter.
Forget charging a subscription fee. The Internet isn’t ready for a fee-based periodical. The
number of publications that successfully charge subscribers are far fewer than the number
that have failed. Too many benefits come from publishing a free periodical not to give it
serious consideration.
