E-mail newsletters or e-zines weekly or monthly – more often if a lot is happening. Send<br />

update bulletins in the interim when you have something worthwhile to announce but not<br />

enough to prepare a full-blown newsletter.<br />

Forget charging a subscription fee. The Internet isn’t ready for a fee-based periodical. The<br />

number of publications that successfully charge subscribers are far fewer than the number<br />

that have failed. Too many benefits come from publishing a free periodical not to give it<br />

serious consideration.<br />

Strives to be friendly and entertaining<br />

Focuses on interests of target audiences<br />

Delivers worthwhile content at audience’s level of expertise<br />

Gives recipients numerous reasons to visit your web site<br />
