Newsreader A software program that lets you access Internet newsgroups, and read and post messages. Posting Message sent to a newsgroup or mailing list. Signature A file typically inserted at the end of an email message or discussion group posting. The file can be used as an electronic business card with the same type of information on it or as a "mini-billboard" with promotional information in it. Also called ".sig."
