businesses. One of the best sites for people searches is Four11. Use it to search for:<br />

E-mail addresses<br />

Telephone numbers<br />

Street addresses<br />

Net phones.<br />

C/Net’s Search.com enables you to search for:<br />

Software<br />

Stock quotes<br />

City maps<br />

Links to your site<br />

Pages at a site<br />

Key words in a URL<br />

Key words in a title.<br />

Electronic Yellow Pages are handy for finding businesses. Try Big Yellow.<br />

Did you know that you can also search for graphic images? AltaVista supports an image-searches<br />

technique: enter "image" as your query prefix. Yahoo! has sections devoted to finding graphics at<br />

its site.<br />

A number of image-specific search engines exist but don’t be surprised if you are disappointed<br />

with the results. Image searches are certain to be much better in the future. For now, try:<br />

Image Surfer, a Yahoo subsidiary, searches image-based <strong>Web</strong> sites.<br />

<strong>Web</strong>Seer allows you to search by subject, colors, dimensions, and origin. It has a database of<br />

over 750,000 images.<br />
