4. Comp.newprod: Another newsgroup to announce a new product or service is
comp.newprod. Your submission must be computer-related, and it must be of interest to a
large number of net users.
5. New Page List: Submit your new page announcement to New Page List. New Page List
distributes an announcement per day to its mailing list. Limit your announcement to 30
words describing your new page. There is no guarantee your announcement will be
selected.
6. Net Announce (part of All-in-One-Promotion) at http://www.erspros.com/net-announce
sends an email announcement of your Web site to those who request it.
7. Email Announce at http://www.EmailAnnounce.com.
8. Search "announce" newsgroups: To find other newsgroups eligible for your announcement,
search for "announce" newsgroups; i.e., those with "announce" in their name. They publish
announcements, usually to a targeted audience. In your newsreader, select the option to
show all newsgroups. Then enter "announce" in the search or find field (depending on the
command in your newsreader). Every time that your search returns an "announce" that you
think might be appropriate for your announcement, select post a usenet message. You may
have to customize your announcement to make it more appropriate for some newsgroups.

9. Comprehensive Promotions Sites: Another source for possible announcement location is a
Super Directory that provides a comprehensive list of promotion resources. A number of
these are listed in Appendix B, Additional Resources. Start here: look for announcement
sites at All in One Promotions and Announcements. It claims to list 1001 sites.
10. Unmoderated Newsgroups: Of the 20,000 or so newsgroups many are unmoderated. That
means that nobody is "minding the store". Messages of all kinds are posted without a
