James says, "Simeon [St. Peter] hath declaredhow God at the first [in the conversion orCornelius] did visit the Gentiles to take out ofthem a people for His name [the Bride of Christ].And to this agree the words of the Prophets[Amos 9:11, 12]; as it is written, After this [afterthe Bride of Christ has been selected], I willreturn and will build again the tabernacle [thehouse, royalty or dominion] of David, which isfallen down; and I will build again the ruinsthereof, and I will set it up [re-establish theKingdom of God on earth]; that the residue ofmen [all the rest of the world of mankind] mightseek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, uponwhom My name is called, saith the Lord whodoeth all these things.
