Chambers for the LevitesCertain chambers will be set apart for theactivities of the Levites. Near the outer door ofthe north gate of the inner court (a work done bythe spirit phase of the Kingdom) on the upperpavement will be a chamber where the Levitewill wash the burnt offerings of the people. Inthe porch or lobby of the same gate will be fourtables of hewn stone, each 1 1/2 cubits square bya cubit high, on which will be laid theinstruments for slaying the sacrifices, andwhereon the sacrifices will be slain and theirflesh will be. In the outer court outside the innercourt gate and beside the stepsFM583leading up to the gate, will be the four moretables for slaying the sacrifices, two on each sideof the steps. In antitype, the offerers will make orrenew the consecration of themselves, under thevarious required conditions, and will be acceptedby the Great Company (Levites) who will actbetween the people and the Little Flock (priests).The utter consecration of the persons, typed bythe death of the animals, will be supervised anddirected by the Great Company, and the offererswill endeavor to conform themselves to thecharacter pattern, suggested by the cut stone ofthe tables and the resting of the flesh and theslaughter instruments upon the tables. Thoseoffering themselves in heartfelt consecration asan expression of their thankfulness to God (burntoffering) will be cleansed in character by theteachings of the Word of God (washed withwater) imparted by the Great Company(Levites).— Ezek. 40:39-43.Certain of their offerings the people are to eat,figuring their assimilation in their very beings ofthe consecrations made. This process will not bewithout fiery trials, ameliorated by the Word ofGod (hot water), chastenings at the hands of theGreat Company (Levites)— typed by the boilingof the sacrifices by the Levites preparatory totheir being eaten by the people.
