Revelation 21:11.Having the glory [of] FROM God.— TheChurch has a foretaste of this glory on this sideof the veil.— 1 Pet. 4:14.FM321[And] her light.— "The Lamb is the Lightthereof."— Rev. 21:23; 22:5.Was like unto a stone most precious.— "Thebrightness f His [the Father's] glory, and theexpress image of His person."— Heb. 1:3.Even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.— Abeautiful green-tinted diamond.— Rev. 4:3.Revelation 21:12.And [had] HAVING a wall great and high.—The pictures here are all pictures of the Bride.Nevertheless, the wall, the protection of thatHeavenly City, in a special sense represents ourHeavenly Father. No picture of the Bride would be complete thatdid not include Him who dwells within us, and isthe Author of the Plan, and the source of all ourjoys. Now as to the application of the picture ofthe wall to the Bride herself, one of PastorRussell's coworkers has aptly said: "We are likeliving stones, in the plural— 144,000 stones inone, if you will. There was one perfect Stone tobegin with, and all the others had to beconformed to the image of that Stone; Men havediscovered a way of taking two glasses ofdifferent density and fusing them together, soyou cannot tell where the point of fusion is. Andso, with this Little Flock of 144,000, they aregoing to be welded together in one— there willbe but one mind in that whole 144,000. There isonly one thing in view, and that is to performJehovah's will, and they rejoice in doing Hiswill."Revelation 21:12.And [had] HAVING a wall great and high.—The Heavenly Father.
