The Word is plainly written on the outside,where all may read the words, but cannotunderstand their significance without Divine aid.Meantime, from age to age, the events foretoldoccur in the manner predicted.The manner of the writing, some of it from leftto right and some from right to left, enables thefulfillments to follow the prophecies exactly,item by item, to the last jot and tittle. Write aword on a sheet of paper and then turn the paperover and look at it, holding it in front of a goodlight. Thus it is with the Word of God. ThepropheciesFM98look strange until the due time has come forholding them up to the light, and then theybecome clear. What could be only imperfectlydeciphered until the hindering seal is broken isno mystery after the seal is broken, because thebook or scroll or chart can be turned about andheld *to the light. The fulfillments are seen to fitthe prophecies. If the lines are not clear, then forsome reason we are looking upon that much ofthe record from the outside and not from theinside.And on the backside.— "Excepting the barepromise (written on the outside of the scroll) ofsalvation through the Seed of the woman,nothing could be known of the wonderfulscheme for human restitution until the Son ofGod, having left the glory of the spiritual nature,took our nature and by the sacrifice of Himselfredeemed us from death.
