NETHERLANDS 828 Radio 10 Gold kehrt zurueck auf Mittelwelle.
Eine kleine Ueberraschung von Radio 10 Gold: die senden ab Montag (ab 10
Uhr 10) wieder auf Mittelwelle, und zwar auf der 828 kHz. Dafuer wird
immer noch den Sender bei Heinenoord verwendet. Ich nehme an Tagsueber
wird 20 kW gefahren und nachts 5 kW.
Empfang ist hier in Friesland recht gut (im Auto sowie auf dem Tecsun PL-
380), aktuell ist der Sender on Air mit einer Testschleife von Arrow
Classic Rock (seit Monaten).
Zwei Sachen interessieren mich: wird der Marktanteil von Radio 10 Gold
jetzt steigen (aktuell 1,9%) und wird das Signal so kaputt komprimiert wie
auf der 1395 kHz?

NIGERIA 7350 Radio Nigeria Abuja in En, SIO 252-3, at 0647 UT Oct 11.
... from 0600 UT onwards difficult because of TWR 7355 kHz interference.

15120 Voice of Nigeria, at 0715 UT Oct 11, on S=9+20dB signal level. But
audio feed is a little bit disturbed. Hard to believe that this distortion
coming via new Thomson units at new Abuja site.

If 7350 kHz is the new Abuja site, why isn't it an overpoweringly strong

Glenn, I featured the refurbishing work at both Abuja sites in many items
before.
Thomson erected a new station with 3 x 250 kW SW units and various
antennas across the street at Abuja Lugbe, for Voice of Nigeria. Work
finnished already in late November 2009 !.
Then they had also worked out an expertise for the old Radio Nigeria
regional domestic SW site at Abuja Gwagwalarda with 2 x 100 kW domestic
power - in 2010 -, at the MW 909 kHz location.
Some 33 kilometers westwards at 08 55 44.42 N 07 04 22.33 E
SW antenna mast seen on the lower left corner of the area.
According to the masts direction seen in Goggle Maps, the dipol direction
of this domestic network is approx. 85/265 degrees, not the best angle to
reach Europe properly. The Albions in GB&IRL have always a benefit to
