IRELAND 612/549/675 Additional MW transmitters planned for Spirit
Radio. In the addition to the planned MW outlet in Athlone on 612 kHz,
100kW, new Irish broadcaster Spirit Radio plans additional 25 kW MW txs
at Lifford on 549 kHz serving the north of Irealand, and at Macroom on
675kHz serving the south of the country. FW txs are planned for Dundalk,
Drogheda, Navan, Naas, Newbridge, Bray, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Ennis,
Sligo, Letterkenny, Clonmel, Killarney, and Trale. Though the dates when
these will come on the air have not been disclosed yet.

No doubt all of the above proposed transmitter sites will be subject to
sufficient money being raised to purchase and install the transmitters.

Ireland's new Christian radio station Spirit Radio has been given green
light by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland to commence terrestrial
broadcasts in January 2011.

ITALY Since 31 Oct the new times for Rai 1 regional programmes are:
Mon-Sat 0620-0628 UT and 1110-1128 UT. Whilst on Sunday the time is
1115v-1127 UT after the "Oggi 2000" Angelus of Pope Benedict 16th.

JORDAN 15290 Radio Jordan - Al Karama (listed), at 1217 UT on Nov 10 in
Arabic. Report by man on parliamentary elections, mentioning ridings [sic]
in different towns, besides the capital, including Jerash and Aqaba. Time
check at 1226 UT, ID and news by man, then weather report by same speaker.
No //'s noted. News headlines to sudden sign- off at 1230 UT. Fair to
good. Also at 1203 UT on Nov 12 with talk in Arabic by man; high noise
level. Quite better signal at 1225 UT recheck carrying song by group. Nice
ID by woman, musical bridge, talk by man on parliamentary elections. As
usual, off in mid-sentence at 1230 UT. After that, did not show up on
11810 kHz (as Amman used to last year). Jordan is not heard regularly.
The 11960 kHz outlet, noted during UT morning hours in May and tentatively
in September, has been missing for a while now. Same applies to familiar
9830 kHz outlet.
