IRELAND 612/549/675 Additional MW transmitters planned for Spirit<br />

Radio. In the addition to the planned MW outlet in Athlone on 612 kHz,<br />

100kW, new Irish broadcaster Spirit Radio plans additional 25 kW MW txs<br />

at Lifford on 549 kHz serving the north of Irealand, and at Macroom on<br />

675kHz serving the south of the country. FW txs are planned for Dundalk,<br />

Drogheda, Navan, Naas, Newbridge, Bray, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Ennis,<br />

Sligo, Letterkenny, Clonmel, Killarney, and Trale. Though the dates when<br />

these will come on the air have not been disclosed yet.<br />

light by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland to commence terrestrial<br />

broadcasts in January 2011.<br />

Mon-Sat 0620-0628 UT and 1110-1128 UT. Whilst on Sunday the t<strong>im</strong>e is<br />

1115v-1127 UT after the "Oggi 2000" Angelus of Pope Benedict 16th.<br />

JORDAN 15290 Radio Jordan - Al Karama (listed), at 1217 UT on Nov 10 in<br />

Arabic. Report by man on parliamentary elections, mentioning ridings [sic]<br />

in different towns, besi<strong>de</strong>s the capital, including Jerash and Aqaba. T<strong>im</strong>e<br />

check at 1226 UT, ID and news by man, then weather report by same speaker.<br />

No //'s noted. News headlines to sud<strong>de</strong>n sign- off at 1230 UT. Fair to<br />

good. Also at 1203 UT on Nov 12 with talk in Arabic by man; high noise<br />

level. Quite better signal at 1225 UT recheck carrying song by group. Nice<br />

ID by woman, musical bridge, talk by man on parliamentary elections. As<br />

usual, off in mid-sentence at 1230 UT. After that, did not show up on<br />

11810 kHz (as Amman used to last year). Jordan is not heard regularly.<br />

The 11960 kHz outlet, noted during UT morning hours in May and tentatively<br />

in September, has been missing for a while now. Same applies to familiar<br />

9830 kHz outlet.<br />
