Tiganesti ist die weit mo<strong>de</strong>rnere Anlage, kam wohl erst anfangs 1970 on air<br />

und liegt 12 km noerdlicher, und bekam jetzt bei <strong>de</strong>r Mo<strong>de</strong>rnisierung die<br />

mo<strong>de</strong>rneren 250 kW Harris Sen<strong>de</strong>r, <strong>von</strong> dort laeuft jetzt auch <strong>de</strong>r<br />

Deutschdienst, zumin<strong>de</strong>st in AM.<br />

Die MW Station Tancabesti 855 kHz 1500 kW liegt dort auch in <strong>de</strong>r Gegend,<br />

und auch noch ein militaerisch-diplomatischer Kurzwellensen<strong>de</strong>r aus <strong>de</strong>r<br />

kommunistischen Diktatur auf <strong>de</strong>r an<strong>de</strong>ren Strassenseite.<br />

Nominally the stn of the Sp Republican Govt (recognized only by Mexico),<br />

but effectively the stn of the Sp Communist Party (PCE), it has bc in<br />

Spanish, Catalan and Basque to Spain from various locations since 1939,<br />

making it the ol<strong>de</strong>st stn of its type still on the air. Currently, it bc<br />

only from Cluj, Rumania, sharing facilities with R Free Portugal, but<br />

until 1972 it was also relayed via R Budapest, Hungary.<br />

headqurters, from where QSL cards were formerly sent. Now, however,<br />

verifications are being postmarked "Prague," suggesting the dissi<strong>de</strong>nt pro-<br />

Soviet faction of the Spanish Communist Party headqurtered in Prague is<br />

verifying the txions put by the goverrning "in<strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong>nts" in Paris.<br />

The stn, like R Euzkadi, is jammed by RadioNacional Espana bc txs in<br />

Arganda, which bepp and growl.<br />
