could hear something like "Saut al Lubnan". They speak very often about<br />

Lebanon, Beirut, they mention something what seems to be "Beirut t<strong>im</strong>e ...<br />

Greenwich Mean T<strong>im</strong>e ..." etc.<br />

The format of the station is quite "mo<strong>de</strong>rn". If somebody is interested to<br />

take a closer look at this station, I would like to offer my assistance of<br />

supplying some recordings (not ma<strong>de</strong> yet) if the reception is not good in<br />

your area.<br />

The station is not listed in WRTH (there is a section with Lebanon as a<br />

target but this station is not mentioned), not even in its MW list.<br />

Looks as though its the Lebanese radio station al Nur (or Al Nour)<br />

I found this report about it on DXing the Finnish Way:<br />

al-Nur Radio on 1071 kHz. Jan 19, 2007.<br />

The Hezbollah-controlled radio station, al-Nur Radio (Light radio), has<br />

been logged in recent months on 1071 kHz. The transmitter site is believed<br />

to be in Syria and transmission power 100 kW. The programme consists of<br />

relays of a FM-station of the same name and newscasts from al-Manar<br />

Television station.<br />
