shifitng back of Bangladesh timings was announced on 25th December 2009.
It will be interesting to watch the international broadcasters match this
twice a year change and also manage the A and B frequency change seasons.
BELARUS 1170 Golos Rossii px. noted at 1835 UT, instead of Hungarian,
listed in Herman Boel's EMWG, via Sasnovy-BLR. QRM de Radio Capodistria-
SVN. 34432 at 2009, Dec 27.
(Jose Turner-POR, hcdx Dec 27)
I guess Voice of Russia ceased some east European language services on SW
+ MW on March 28, 2009 already.
Only website services remained:

Only Polish and Serbian remained on MW/SW.
So, this entry in EMWG seemingly outdated, no VoRUS Hungarian, Czech and
Slovak transmissions on Sasnovy 1170 kHz anymore.
BRAZIL 4845.236v on Dec 29 at 0140 UT Radio Cultura, Manaus, Brazil,
nice songs, weak.
4985 on Dec 29 at 0147 UT Radio Brasil Central, Brazil, songs, weak.
(Giampiero Bernardini-ITA, dxld Dec 30)
CANADA 9609.949 RCI, Sackville at 1658-1728 UT Dec 27. One of their
failing transmitters, at least the audio level was OK with mailbag in
which the host butchered names, cities etc. Oscar Peterson cover of
"Jingle Bells" then canned ID mentioning this is "RCI Viva" a multilanguage
Internet stream [RCI Plus] and on Sirius [Sirius Canada?] channel
95. News summary, into Canadacentric music, the only thing allowed I
suppose, beginning with "Cripple Creek" by The Band. Barry Haig (sp?), the
host, claimed The Band is still together and touring despite some member
deaths (ouch, how musically- uninformed he is). Apparently a repeat show,
too, as he referenced the Kopenhagen Klimate Konference as being in
progress and "... as Christmas approaches..."
(Terry L Krueger-FL-USA, dxld Dec 30)
CHILE 11920 HCJB via CVC, Calera de Tango, is *still* accompanied by
spurs we and others first reported weeks ago; is no one paying attention
at Quito, Calera de Tango, Colorado Springs or West Bromwich? Dec 24 at
2352 UT, tho 11920 in Portuguese sounded OK, it was flanked by distorted,
motorboating, mushy spurs with matching audio centered at approximately
11902 and 11938 kHz, the latter too close to a legitimate transmission on
11935 kHz, presumably CRI in Cantonese via Kunming.
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, dxld Dec 30)
CHINA 4330 PBS Xinjiang, Urumqui. Dec 20, Kazakh (listed) 0206-0220 UT,
two male and female talks, string instrumental music selections
alternating short female talks, 0218 UT Chinese style music. When talks,
some distorted, overloaded audio, 35233.
