RFI French 13695 S=8
(wb, wwdxc BC-DX TopNews July 2)
Radio Netherlands usurping 13640 kHz frequency today with World Cup
special (presumably via Bonaire{rather Sackville-CAN relay, wb.}). I was
not monitoring it at 2000-2030 UT, but it's on the list below, and it was
certainly on the air, extremely strong signal before and after 2100 UT,
and no doubt had totally blocked R. Tirana (also 1845-1900 UT).
There are countless other frequencies they could have picked on 13 MHz or
other bands, and there is no excuse for 13640 kHz as you are clearly
registered there, also to North America. The same thing is likely to
happen on the final match assuming it is in the same time period.
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, July 6)
RNW is using 13640 only for special World Cup broadcasts involving
Netherlands, and there will be only one more, coming Sunday. I was not
aware of the date for that, but if that is the case, since R. Tirana does
not broadcast English on Sundays, there should be no problem then, unlike
yesterday.
But RNW should be restricted from using 13640 for any further broadcasts
during this time period on weekdays, e.g. Tour de France or any other
specials.
I doubt RNW had any interest in capturing R. Tirana audience on 13640 kHz,
but were simply negligent, and evidently with inadequate monitoring and
consultation of HFCC registrations beforehand.
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, July 8)
I see these 22 mb channels at 1700-2200 UT, not occupied in NoAM, so RNW
via Sackville relay can use either
13585 13600 13605 13670
13715 - at best choice?
13735 13795 13810 13855 13860 kHz. wb.
Frequencies for Netherlands-Uruguay on 6 July.

Additional RNW mediumwave/shortwave frequencies will be operating on 6
is level after 90 minutes there will be 30 minutes extra time and, if
necessary, a penalty shoot-out. Frequencies will operate at 1800-2100 UTC,
extended to 2200 if necessary.
