MYANMAR 5985 Myanmar R hrd Jan 6 from 1335 UT tune (recor<strong>de</strong>d from 1430<br />

UT) w/ gradually <strong>im</strong>proving signal to 1600* w/ woman ann in En and anthem.<br />

Adj ch QRM from 5990 kHz gradually <strong>de</strong>creased but from 1500 to 1515 UT<br />

there was co-channel QRM from an unknown station - fortunately Myanmar<br />

dominated the frequency during this period. From 1430.5 to 1456 UT there<br />

was a nice program of traditional Burmese vocals w/ inst accompan<strong>im</strong>ent,<br />

from 1456 UT to 1457 a woman ann in Burmese and from 1457 to 1529 UT there<br />

was a non-stop pgm of pop vocals incl two C&W selections.<br />

The English program started at 1530 UT with an opening announcement by a<br />

woman followed by news and a weather report by the same announcer.<br />

Following news, there was a short program announcement (with a background<br />

echo) and then a program of popular music until 1559 UT. The music started<br />

with a Burmese or Indian vocal, then pop songs by female artists. At 1559<br />

UT a woman ann ma<strong>de</strong> closing anmts "We have come to the end of the English<br />

language program_good night" followed by the Myanmar nat'l anthem until a<br />

new station came on strongly at 1600 UT (R. Rossi ?). SINPO 33533.<br />

Radio Nigeria Kaduna um 2243 UT in Vn mit Afrikanischer Mx und ID "Radio<br />

Nigeria Kaduna". QRM durch eine arabischsprachige Station und Pr<strong>im</strong>orski<br />

Val (haette auch nicht gedacht, dass die mich mal wegen staendiger<br />

Hoerbarkeit nerven wuer<strong>de</strong>n ;-) )<br />

Jetzt um 2250 UT hat sich auch meine heute morgen gepostete Vermutung<br />

bestaetigt. Auch heute wie<strong>de</strong>r eine Koranrezitation wie dort beschrieben -<br />

diesmal mit klarer ID davor.<br />
