I have been listening to CVC Africa in English with excellent reception
from 2000 to past 2100 UTC on 9505 kHz. I can not seem to find any mention
of this with a google search. Zambia I suspect. Feb 7.

Re CVC 9505. Checking one of the online frequency references such as Aoki
would be more productive:
9505 CVC Internat (1Africa) 2000-2200 En 100 kW 315deg Lusaka-ZMB
Their 315 beam from Zambia on this and other frequencies also serves North
America.

with religious programming, but not the usual boring programming; was
actually enjoyable! DJ with African accent with "Playback" show with many
Christian pop/rap songs; many "1 Africa" IDs; promo for their website
0500 UT brief "1 Africa News"; into "Kickstart" show with Brad and

ZNBC shortwave transmitters break down.
The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) shortwave transmitters
that carry the Radio 1 and 2 signals in the shortwave band have developed
a technical fault. ZNBC Public Relations Manager Miriam Mtonga disclosed
the development in a statement in Lusaka yesterday. She said the situation
means that listeners in remote areas will not be able to access the
