I have been listening to CVC Africa in English with excellent reception<br />

from 2000 to past 2100 UTC on 9505 kHz. I can not seem to find any mention<br />

of this with a google search. Zambia I suspect. Feb 7.<br />

Re CVC 9505. Checking one of the online frequency references such as Aoki<br />

would be more productive:<br />

Their 315 beam from Zambia on this and other frequencies also serves North<br />

America.<br />

ZNBC shortwave transmitters break down.<br />

The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) shortwave transmitters<br />

that carry the Radio 1 and 2 signals in the shortwave band have <strong>de</strong>veloped<br />

a technical fault. ZNBC Public Relations Manager Miriam Mtonga disclosed<br />

the <strong>de</strong>velopment in a statement in Lusaka yesterday. She said the situation<br />

means that listeners in remote areas will not be able to access the<br />
