verse, and it is thus a definite locality
in the neighbourhood of Jerusalem.

itself. It may denote according to the
context an unending period :

of seventy generations, as here; cf.
ver. 12 ; or a period of five hundred
years, as in ver. 10. 6. Day of the
great judgement. So G^. E reads
'great day of judgement'. See 45^
(note). This judgement inaugurates
the final punishment of the angels.
