XX. Of <strong>the</strong> seven archangels given<br />

' scriptum<br />

in this chapter, only four— Uriel,<br />

Eaphael, Eaguel, and Michael—are<br />

mentioned as acting in 21-36. In<br />

<strong>the</strong> original probably all were men-<br />

tioned. Of. 81^ 1. This verse is<br />

defective in G* ' ^. The latter omits it,<br />

while <strong>the</strong> former reads simply 'angels<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> powers<br />

'. But part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> verse<br />

is preserved in ver. 8 in both, i. e.<br />

see 12'' (note). 2. The province as-<br />

signed to Uriel serves to explain such<br />

this verse Michael is <strong>the</strong> right speaker<br />

in 24-27, where he instructs Enoch on<br />

<strong>the</strong> blessings that are to befall <strong>the</strong><br />
